Gilles Merlet became a pioneer by experimenting with the plantation of Cassis, Blackcurrants, Raspberry, Wild Strawberry, Peach, Pear or Melon at the end of the 70’s in the
Crème de Framboise (Raspberry liqueur) 70 cl Variety of fruits : Mecker, Williamette Degree : 18 % vol. Merlet’s Crème de Framboise guarantee consistent quality. The raspberries are soaked in pure alcohol to extract all their flavours, then pressed and filtered. Sugar is added to this natural fruit infusion to obtain the Crème de framboise. Complete control of every stages of the process, from sourcing the fruits and selecting only the ripest to their transformation by Merlet, guarantees, together with the very high concentration of macerated fruits, the intensity and complexity of the final product. Deep ruby black colour. Brooding aromas of baked raspberries with a hint of cocoa and spice. Supple, fruity, sweet full-body with nuances of roasted tomato and brown sugar. Long, tangy and mineral finish. |

Crème de Mûre Sauvage (Wild Blackberry liqueur) 50 cl Degree : 18 % vol. Variety of fruits : Black Diamond, Himalaya Merlet Wild Blackberry liqueur combines two complementary varieties and a small quantity of red berries, for their richness and complexity. The Merlets source their fruits from partner producers in order to guarantee consistent quality. The blackberries and the red berries are soaked in pure alcohol to extract all their flavours, then pressed and filtered. Sugar is added to this natural fruit infusion to obtain the Crème de mûre. Complete control of every stages of the process, from sourcing the fruits and selecting only the ripest to their transformation by Merlet, guarantees, together with the very high concentration of macerated fruits, the intensity and complexity of the final product. Garnet colour. Rich blackberry compote, custard, and crushed dried violet aromas. Soft, rich and silky fruity palate and a long, honeyed berry, elderflower and soft spice finish. |
